orn and raised in Southern Spain, Naomi Plange grew up in a multi cultural society, raised by her German (and Austrian) parents. She developed an early interest in art and history, which lead her to pursue an education in graphic design and photography. Shortly after working in both fields, the opportunity arose to move to California in late 2007. Being a devoted traveller and in constant search of new experiences, she packed her things in the blink of an eye.

In Pasadena, she attended the local college, taking full advantage of the broad variety of classes offered. She learned how to sew, draw patterns and drape, screen print, and metalsmith. While working on her first piece of jewelry, a sterling silver brooch, she immediately fell in love with the hands on process of working on her own designs. She had finally found the right medium for her longing to create. Once she took all the courses available, she decided to set up her own workshop and create NIMO.

Under the NIMO. label, Naomi has participated in several art and design fairs in the Los Angeles area and in Southern Spain, obtaining great feedback from the attendees and fellow crafters.

In early 2011 Naomi moved back to the Old Continent, to proceed with the expansion of her NIMO. adventure.
